ConnCAT’s Medical Billing and Coding program is designed to fulfill the market demand for trained health system coders for public and private practice settings.
This program provides adult learners the ability to analyze medical records and to identify and properly assign codes from the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10-CM) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes to diagnoses and procedures. The program also provides comprehensive understanding of insurance and billing.
Graduates will qualify to sit for AAPC‘s CPC (Certified Professional Coder) and CPB (Certified Professional Biller) certification exams.
Graduates of the program will possess skills relevant for positions in health insurance companies, physician offices, and medical billing services. The need for medical billers and medical coders continues to increase with our aging population. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 11% rise in jobs by 2028.
